Do I need a Yosemite National Park reservation if I’m staying at Yosemite View Lodge or Cedar Lodge?

Yosemite National Park requires entrance reservations during peak seasons to manage visitor traffic. If you’re staying at Yosemite View Lodge, Cedar Lodge, or Indian Flat Campground, you may need a park reservation depending on your travel dates.

Is there Wi-Fi at Yosemite View Lodge, Cedar Lodge, and Indian Flat Campground?

Yes, complimentary Wi-Fi is available for all guests staying at Yosemite View Lodge, Yosemite Cedar Lodge, and Indian Flat Campground. Simply enter your first and last name when prompted on your device to connect for 24 hours.

Please note: Wi-Fi speeds may be slower during peak hours (5 PM to 10 PM) due to our remote location. We encourage guests to unplug and enjoy the natural beauty of Yosemite.

How far is Yosemite View Lodge or Yosemite Cedar Lodge from Yosemite National Park?

Yosemite View Lodge is located just two miles from Yosemite National Park’s Arch Rock West Entrance, making it the closest hotel to the park boundary.

Yosemite Cedar Lodge is only eight miles (about a 15-minute drive) from the same entrance.

Both properties offer easy access to Yosemite Valley and nearby outdoor activities like river rafting, mountain biking, horseback riding, and exploring.

Do your hotels offer shuttle access to Yosemite National Park?

Yes, Yosemite View Lodge and Yosemite Cedar Lodge both have onsite YARTS bus stops, providing direct shuttle service to Yosemite National Park.

YARTS (Yosemite Area Regional Transportation System) is a year-round public transit system with fixed routes to and from Yosemite Valley.

Tickets must be purchased in advance at YARTS.com.

Are Yosemite View Lodge and Cedar Lodge wheelchair accessible?

Yes, our hotels Yosemite View Lodge and Yosemite Cedar Lodge are wheelchair accessible.

What is the pet policy at Yosemite View Lodge and Cedar Lodge?

Pets are welcome at Yosemite View Lodge and Yosemite Cedar Lodge for a $25 USD fee per pet, per day. A maximum of two pets is allowed per room.

Please call the front desk after booking to let us know you’re bringing pets so we can prepare accordingly.

Do the hotels have a pool or spa?

Yes! Both Yosemite View Lodge and Yosemite Cedar Lodge feature multiple pools and spas, perfect for relaxing after a day in Yosemite National Park.

Pools are open daily from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM and include both indoor and outdoor options depending on the property.

Are there restaurants or bars at Yosemite View Lodge and Cedar Lodge?

Yes! Yosemite View Lodge offers two on-site dining options:

  • The River Restaurant & Lounge

  • Parkside Pizza

Yosemite Cedar Lodge features:

  • Cedar Lodge Restaurant

  • Canyon Bar & Grill

  • A full-service bar

Do the hotels have gift shops or convenience stores?

Yes, Yosemite View Lodge features a large convenience and gift store with snacks, drinks, groceries, clothing, souvenirs, and more.

Yosemite Cedar Lodge has a well-stocked gift shop with Yosemite souvenirs, maps, mugs, and apparel. There are also drinks and snacks available for purchase. 

Both shops are open daily from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM.

Is there a fitness center at Yosemite View Lodge or Cedar Lodge?

Yes! Both Yosemite View Lodge and Yosemite Cedar Lodge offer onsite fitness centers for guest use.

Facilities include treadmills, stationary bikes, free weights, a rowing machine, and other workout equipment.

The fitness centers are open daily from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

What family friendly amenities are available at the hotels?

Both Yosemite View Lodge and Yosemite Cedar Lodge feature free large game rooms open daily from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, perfect for families to relax and play together.

Additional amenities include:

Is there parking at the hotel? Is it free?

Yes, free self-parking is available at Yosemite View Lodge, Yosemite Cedar Lodge, and Indian Flat Campground. No reservation is required for parking.

Is breakfast included?

Breakfast is not included in standard rates. However, on-site dining options and convenience stores offer grab-and-go items, and many rooms include kitchenettes for preparing meals.

Are there kitchenettes or microwaves in the rooms?

Yes, many rooms at Yosemite View Lodge and Cedar Lodge include kitchenettes with a mini-fridge, stove, microwave, and sink. Amenities vary by room type, so please check your booking details or contact the front desk.

Do you offer laundry facilities?

Yes, coin-operated laundry facilities are available on-site at Yosemite View Lodge and Yosemite Cedar Lodge. Detergent is available for purchase in the gift shop.

Is there cell phone service at the hotel?

Cell phone reception can be limited due to our remote mountain location. We recommend enabling Wi-Fi calling when connected to hotel Wi-Fi for the best experience.

If you booked through a third-party site (such as Expedia, Booking.com, etc.), Yosemite Resorts cannot access billing details related to your reservation.

The Picnics To Go package is a ready-to-enjoy, family-friendly picnic experience designed for convenience and comfort. You’ll receive a portable cooler and blanket, along with:

  • Bottled water

  • A delicious dessert

Pricing:

  • For two people: $39

  • For four people: $69

A fully refundable deposit is required and returned when the cooler and blanket are brought back.
